Are your lips always dry and peeling? Are you looking for ways to get rid of chapped lips with ease? Chapped lips can be uncomfortable, especially during winter. I can feel my lips need attention. It gets obvious when I apply my lip gloss: cracked lines, which is embarrassing. The next thing I do is apply lip balm, wipe with damp tissue or cloth to get rid of the rough layer, and reapply my lip gloss.
It can be affected by day-to-day weather conditions, such as harmattan, summer, or winter, depending on where you are. Examples of things that affect our lips are Dehydration, Licking, and Lack of care.
In most cases, lip balm or chapstick can cure chapped lips, but they might not provide a lasting solution.
Get Rid of Chapped Lips with Ease
Treat your lips right
You can pamper your lips by giving them proper care, just as you would other parts of your body. So, it’s time to say yes to healthy lips.
Wear Lip balm, gloss, or oil. Anytime you feel your lips getting dry, apply lip balm or lip oil, and have it located in almost every corner of your home.
Exfoliate – Try to exfoliate your lips at least twice a week to prevent it from getting chapped.
Avoid licking
It’s best to have your lip balm close to you to avoid stories that touch. The reason for doing this is that it’s accessible when your lips go dry; that way, you’ve got no excuse.
I lick my lips at times, and after a few minutes, they get dry again, so I make sure I keep my lip balm within reach. ALLOW THOSE LIPS OF YOURS TO REST. Licking your lips could be a sign of dehydration, so instead of licking your lips, drink water. Thank you.
Get Rid of Chapped Lips With Ease – Alternatives
Here, you can get rid of chapped lips without using an actual chapstick. That’s right. There are natural ingredients you can use to help eliminate this problem within 2-3 weeks, and they are easily accessible.
- Honey is a good source of antioxidants and is also known to heal wounds. You can mix your honey with any other ingredient, such as Shea butter or Vaseline. Apply once to a couple of times a day, preferably at night.
- Coconut Oil – Combine with any essential oil you have. It can be used alone but must be applied more than once a day.
- Sugar can serve as a scrub. Mix it with coconut oil to gently scrub the lips, then wipe with a damp tissue. Use at least 2 – 3 times a week.
- Aloe Vera – Apply the gel regularly to your lips as it has soothing and moisturizing properties.
- Shea Butter – Apply to your lips any time of the day as it helps retain moisture.
